This bachelor´s thesis focuses on the production of prototype part of carpet holder used on the stairs and its use for making the silicone mold. As a source of data was used a broken component made for the same purpose. The first part focuses on the description of creating a model in CAD software SolidWorks with following theoretical part focused on the description of Rapid Prototyping technology and its division. Part of the thesis is also evaluation of each used method from an economical standpoint.
